Valentines Day

Before I get started on this blog I am going to state that, I represents Daron, Nicole is wanting me to take a crack at this Blog thing so I guess here we go.....

Since I had to work this last weekend I thought it would be nice to do something with Nicole, just the two of us, for the good old day of love. Since we don't get a whole lot of time on our hand these days to just run and do anything, we wanted to get a little dressed up and go out to dinner and a movie that wasn't rated G or PG for once.
After work on V-day I decided to stop by Fry's market place at their Valentines day Tent they had set up and get my wonderful wife some flowers. So i got out of work on time (for once) and hurried over to get some flowers and get home and ready before our babysitter got there. Well as usual the black cloud struck again and when i went to get flowers the register they had set up at the Fry's tent was out so I had to walk over to the Fry's Gas pump attendant register and wait in line to purchase the flowers.
Flowers bought I was on my way home to get ready quick and get going so we wouldn't be to late getting home. So I surprised Nicole with her flowers and told her that "Every special wife has to get flowers on Valentines day" which she liked. To my surprise she was almost done getting ready for the night so all I had to do was get showered and dressed and get going. About that time our babysitter showed up.
Once we gave the the sitter the rundown on baby and the boys we were off for the night to spend our V-day together kid-less in what seemed like forever. We decided to go to Olive Garden in Casa Grande because we had some gift cards (thanks Mom and Dad) and would make our dinner a little cheaper and we could order what we wanted instead of what was cheapest, haha. Apparently everyone else in Casa Grande also decided that Olive Garden was the place to eat on the day of love because we had to wait for nearly 30-40 minutes.

This picture shown is from dinner, where to my (and everyone who knows Nicole) surprise, she is eating a bowl of soup that she hadn't had before and was NEW and didn't know what was in it. Now that you have caught your breath and realized that H*LL hasn't frozen over, I thought this was a big step for our Nicole and was very proud of her. We also tried some different wine and had a couple drinks and enjoyed a great meal and almost bought desert....Almost.
We then decided to get going to the movie and only had about 3 to choose from that hadn't started yet. We decided to see Gran Torino with Clint Eastwood. We both didn't know what it was about or much at all about the movie but heard it was good and was rated R so we gave it a shot. It was a really good movie and was a good decision. By the time we got out of the movie it was already pretty late so we got home to get our babysitter back to her house and get to bed due to me having to be up early for work. The babysitter already had Sylvia in bed and the boys where crashed out on the couches. She said that the boys were really good and all went well. So that was great news.
All in all we had a great Valentines day and technically was the first one we have spent together since I was in Chicago for it last year, and we both can not wait for many more to spend with each other.
