Ok since I'm long overdue, once again, on the birthday blog, I won't reminisce too much on the day Sylvia was born! Let's just say we were hoping for a Sept. 15 birthday so she could share the day with Grandma Patty and Grandpa Jim's anniversary! All was expected to happen until we get to the hospital (had to go eat at Subway before though), they start the pitocin, and continue to come in the room and tell us it is going to be a while longer! Everyone who has had kids has heard that one before!
To make a long story short [which I guess isn't that long anyway], Via decided to hold off on the 15th, and we finally welcomed little baby Sylvia into the world at 2:18am on September 16, 2008! I guess it was gonna have to do, pretty close to the Gma and Gpas anniversary! She was a healthy petite little peanut! Weighing in at a mere 6 lbs and 19.5 inches long. With a head full of black hair, Sylvia Raelynn looked just like big brother Grant when he was born.

We had called Gma and Gpa Rameyer when we first knew that our little peanut was going to be on her way Monday morning! They already had the truck loaded and bags ready so when we called they would be able to hit the road and drive on down! Via was born early Tuesday morning and they were at our place Tuesday night and to the hospital on Wednesday! That was a fast trip! Gma and Gpa Titus were able to make it down in November and we had an early Thanksgiving! It was great!
We were so glad they were all able to come down and help welcome home our little pumpkin! Having no family and at the time very few friends here, was so different then what I was used to! And I know it is hard for them too with the grandkids being so far away!
: Our First Family Photo at a Family of 5 :Sylvia has been continuing to grow and figure out how to hang with 2 older brothers! She has been walking since the beginning of August and has taken a sippy cup for at least a good month! She still has to have a bottle at night but hopefully we can break that before too long!
She is loving and loving on Gracie more and more! She used to just grab her hair and now she is wanting to hold her and pull her in so she can 'play' [although I would call it being MEAN] :)
She loves the lizard, and just recently got to touch him for the first time! She thought that was neat! She loves going outside and just recently started to stare out the back door until we can go out and play!
We also have a climber on our hands! ever since Sylvia could get up and around on her own, either cruising or walking or crawling, she climbs into everything! I will post some pics soon!

Hard to believe it has been over a year since our little girl was welcomed into this world! She is so fun and it is so different from boys! WE love you!

Its so amazing how much they grow and learn in that first year. She sounds like lots of fun! Too bad we don't live closer, I think Via and Colton could be great (and mischievous) friends! Happy (late) Birthday Sylvia!
