A week ago Friday, it was a special day at Legacy.
For starters, it was 'dress down day' which meant the kids did NOT have to wear their school uniforms. They could pay $1 and wear whatever they wanted (within reason of course)! All the money went towards the Legacy Trad P.A.L.S.
Second, it was the end of the first grading period which meant it was only a half day.
And third, Grant was 1 of the 2 Kindergartners receiving an award and he didn't even know!
Legacy has a strong emphasis and focus on patriotism and character building. At the end of each grading period there are awards given out to kids of 'Character'. Grant's award was for RESPECT. His certificate of character says... " In recognition of being a person of character who respects self, property of others, and environment. He is courteous, polite, and considerate."
We knew Grant was going to be getting an award so both Daron and I took the kids into school so we could get pictures! As normal, Cole ran off to find his friends so I never seem to get any photos of him!
