Yearly post- Valentines Day.

Hello all from sunny Arizona. Reporting from Pinal Energy night shift its the rarely heard from man of the house in the yearly post. The wonderful woman of the house has informed me its my time to post again and since we all go by the saying "when mommas happy everyone is happy" we do what we can to make sure this stays this way. So I am going to fill you in on what has been going on and how we spent the great holiday of LOVE.

Since I have been on nights its been difficult to spend a whole lot of time with the kiddies nor Nicole so we have been catching up before I go to bed in the morning and when I get the kids up for school.

This past week was a busy one, we had a visitor from Iowa, Mr Albert Miester who stayed with us for the Superbowl Sunday, Monday and went up to The city for the rest of his stay. It was nice having a friend down to visit, we had a blast and did a lot of catching up. The boys both has a fun time with him and he did with them as well. He said he can't wait to come visit again, especially in the winter time.

On Thursday Grantcy got a PERFECT on his spelling pre test so he got to opt out of his test on Friday, we where all really proud of him. He and Mom have been working a lot on his words and he is doing a great job. I made a bet with Grant a few weeks ago that if he got a perfect on his pre test that I owe him ice cream so guess where we are going tomorrow. :)

The boys both had there Valentines Day parties for school on Friday and a second party that they attended at Nicole's' friends house, Noelle after school. The boys and little pumpkin all had a blast, again they had the bouncy house and little pumpkin loves the bouncy house.

On Saturday Cole had his basketball game in which I am told that they played extremely well and won the game. Cole also scored 2 baskets along with 2 other players on his team. They have one more game left for the season this coming Saturday.

Sunday was Daytona 500 day and Valentines Day, what do you think I was more concerned with??? Since I was recording the 500 my focus was on Valentines Day and trying to make the day special since I would be sleeping most of it. When I got of work that morning I ran to Frys and to my surprise was decently busy with, you guessed it, guys all walking around the Flower department with a confused looks on there faces to either buy balloons, chocolates or flowers and the more surprised looks on faces when the cost of flowers was realized. I was one of those guys but I had an idea what I was doing, not my first Valentines day. It was however my first Valentines day that had to look for 2 ladies in my life instead of one.

So I got Nicole a little monkey that holds a picture frame, along with a bouquet of flowers (which we didn't have a vase big enough for) and babykins got a big white valentines day monkey that is 3/4 her size when its sitting down. Since the boys don't care about that girly stuff I got them both a Star Wars figure. I also got the family valentines day donuts to share. I remembered when I was the boy's age my parents used to get us a little something for the morning when we got up and i thought it was the coolest thing, so i decided to carry on the tradition, thanks mom and dad.

The flowers ended up temporarily in our yard tall Harrahs casino glass from Vegas because it was the only thing that the flowers would fit into. Babykins loved her monkey and just lit up and carried it all around and of course the boys and star wars, enough said there.

All in all we had a good day even though we didn't spend much of it together we will make up for it Monday and Tuesday when I get a couple days off.

Well I better get back to work, so hope everyone had a great Valentines Day and once our computer gets working Nicole will add some pics to go with my post.

Again all take care and stay warm, not much cold weather left and I will post again next year....or maybe before never know.
