On Wednesday our little peanut had her 2 year well baby check. She did very well and even chatted with the doctor a little. That is unusual for her since she is always quite shy at first. They were running late as usual but that gave Sylvia a lot of time to check out all the new babies and play with some fun toys!
After waiting forever, reading some books, and watching a part of a movie, we were finally seen! The doctor couldn't believe how much she had grown... or well at least that she was 2 years old since she is still not that big.
Little Via is healthy and doing very well.
She weighed in at a whopping 21 pounds! That would be under the 3rd percentile, but we {and the doctor} are so happy she finally broke 20! I was guessing 22.5 since she had some vacation weight from Iowa but apparently not as much as I thought! But man she feels heavy when we are carrying her all over the walmart.
She has risen to 32.5 inches and is the 10-25th percentile!
We had to get one shot and of course, it was the end of the world.... for 2 minutes. All we needed was our plug (binky) and we were just fine. No more of those til the big preschool debut comes around! Yay!
She is still a monkey climber and so very active! Speaking 2-3 and sometimes 4 word sentences. So, she is probably saying well over 50 words right now, with her favorite being 'No' or 'Mine'! She is definitely a chatty cathy!
We have weaned the plug to mainly just at night, with the exception of our shots.
Potty training is still not something we like, but have started trying. She shows some interest, but only when her little girlfriends are over and using the big potty!
She will need to go back to Banner Desert hospital sometime next month to get her {HOPEFULLY LAST} VCUG done. Cross your fingers that her valves have fully developed and no longer needs preventative antibiotics everyday!
Good day, Great appointment, Hoping to see you in a year!
I still can't believe our baby girl is 2! Time has gone by so fast! Love ya lil' Pumpkin!

So happy that she is healthy! I am sure she will be fine come Banner Hospital time. Xoxoxo
