Some Well Needed Updating

So I can't even remember the last time I have blogged! I would say the beginning of June! Wow! An entire summer has gone by! I guess we have just been very busy, that or I haven't been here! :)
Lets see... all the things I have to catch up on! Grant and Cole spending almost the entire summer in Iowa, my 3 week long trip to Iowa, the 'storm' that hit Eldora, Sylvia growing like a weed, and everything inbetween!
I will try and blog about some of that stuff sometime later, but right now we only have one computer or my phone! My laptop has kinda kicked the bucket... for now anyway! Either the hard drive it toast (hoping not because all my pics are on there!) or the motherboard has issues! So we are stuck using the very soooo ssssssslllllllllllloooooooooooowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww desktop upstairs until I get mine fixed or get another monitor. So with saying that, I can't post any pics or videos like I would like to. I have a lot still on my camera from beginning of July so we will have to wait!
But now, where do I start...
The boys were supposed to start school today but with the lack of getting some of the new building done they ended up pushing it back until Monday the 31st. I guess it wouldn't be in the best intrest to push the contractors and the city so they eventually decided on pushing the start date adn adding those days to the end of the year. It's ok with me I guess. We get more time with the kids all home together and can maybe make it up to Phoenix a time or two to do something fun adn exciting with the kids. We have also been able to have an extra week with early bedtimes! Yea! So they are used to that 7:00 wake up call!
Cole will be going into 2nd grade and Grant into Kindegarten. They both seem excited to start so hopefully it won't be as tramatic as I was thinking (for the younger one I should say). It will be just Sylvia and me during the day so it will be nice to get some things taken care of around the home!
Daron has been on nights now since the beginning of July... ughh! We really dislike him being on nights but it is what he has to do. We seldom ever see him or get to spend quality time together. Towards the end of September he will be back on days, and hopefully for longer than just a month! I bet he is ready to sleep regular hours since it is pretty hard to keep an eight and five year old quiet when all they want to do is play and have fun! Not to mention the little crazy baby we have now too!
Sylvia will be 1 on September 16! I still can't believe it! Where has the time gone? She is a very little busy body! She is always babbling and trying to talk! Right now she is saying Uh Oh, mama, dada, nana, and baba. There are a few words it sounds like she is starting to say too but we aren't sure whether we will say that officially... like the word baby! Syl has been walking now since about the 2nd week of August. Slow at first and now she is making it clear across the room, as long as there aren't any obstacles in the way. It is so cute to see her go! We knew it would be soon since she has been standing up alone for sometime and crusing furniture since she was about 7 months! She loves playing with her brothers and trying to chase the dog.
As of yesterday I can officially say that she took to a sippy cup! It is the one with the straw but she figured it out and loves it! She still wants her bottle though when it comes time to nap or go to bed! Hopefully soon I can post the video of her walking around and dancing! She loves to shake her little booty to music! Watch for pics soon too!
Nothing new with me... just keeping busy with the kids now that everyone is home! Gracie doing well and so is the lizard! Nothing new to report there!
Well I think that is some good enough catch up for today! We have to run to walmart and get some groceries! We are about wiped out! :)
