I've been replaced

When D and I found out we were going to be having a baby girl, almost 2.5 years ago, I was super excited! After two boys, we both wanted a little girl, and I could finally have a momma's girl. Isn't that what many momma's wish for??
Well.... the past two or three months, I have come to realize that I don't have a momma's girl... I have a Daddy's girl! All the time we have to know where Daddy is. It's Daddy this and Daddy that.
"Daddy hold me."
"Daddy more milk."
"Where Daddy go?"
"Daddy sleeping?"
"Daddy working?"
"Daddy play baby house."
"Daddy do it."
"Daddy, Daddy, Daddy."
It's alright... I guess. We all love Daddy.
But tonight, when Daddy had to leave to take Grant to soccer practice, little Via followed him to the back door. Daddy said Bye Bye and tried to sneak out the door. Of course, we all know what happened next.
"DADDY! DADDY! DADDY! I want DADDY! DADDY! DADDY! DADDY!"
I was busy cleaning up the kitchen and this was far from the first time she had done that. I let her cry it out and she will usually come to me within 10 seconds and everything is fine. I continued to call for her to come here, but this time she didn't come and didn't come. Being a mean 'ol mom, I was just curious as to how long she would actually stand there whining for Daddy so I finished what I was doing. Didn't come.
The whines got quieter and few and far between.
So after about 10 minutes (and NO nap today) I went to see what she was doing.
I found this...

What hard work it must be to call out for Daddy!

She got her boots on and All!

I got one thing going for me, she does seem to listen a lot better to Momma than Daddy. This little girl definitely has her Daddy wrapped around her finger! Now, I still get plenty of snuggles and baby time, but when Daddy is home, he has a permanent shadow!
I love you baby girl, even though you're a little partial to Daddy!
He is just one {Special} Daddy!
