I have seen a lot about this 'Rainbow Cake' idea, so for my birthday I wanted to give it a whirl! I have seen several different variations, but ended up going with the recipe from Mckmama's blog.
It was fun to make... until it came to the frosting part, and I just wanted to be done. After D went to bed, I managed to get all 6 layers frosted and in the fridge! Ahhh... As you see there is nothing but frosting, no writing, no decoration... I considered it good enough for me! :)
Overall, this was a fun project for me to try. Time consuming but fun! The boys even enjoyed helping! They got to mix the colors in before they had to head to bed!
The most exciting part is when you get to cut into the cake! So cool!
