Iowa Flashback Part 2

Besides all that swimming we did, we also got to enjoy a few other things that Eldora had to offer during the month of July! The Hardin County Fair could be is always a fun one! Along with the fair comes the parade! And as everyone up there in IA knows, it rained and rained and rained that evening! We got to see about 3 minutes of the parade dry but still stayed and stuck it out until they completely called it off! Besides Dad and I, everyone was in the back of the van that we pulled up so it was still pretty enjoyable! And heck, I can't argue, I miss these rainy days! We have monsoon season but the rain is nothing like in Iowa. I will say that I sure did get my fill of wet gloomy days. I'm good for a long while!

It rained on our parade! So much for eating the kids parade candy! Shucks!



We did get to see Uncle Neal, ride on Scoopy, and just hang out at the apartment and play the Wii!

When it wasn't raining during 'fair time', we went to the rodeo, demo derby, and the kids enjoyed some of those fair rides! My little cousins even surprised us while visiting Grandma H!
